Institute for Health and Food Safety Zenicain cooperation with Ministry of Health of Zenica-Doboj Cantonimplements the program “Preventive examinations for the early detection of malignant skin tumors” in the area of the canton.
Preventive inspections will also be organized in the area Tighteru Health center Tešanjin the period of May 20, 21, 22, 25 and 26, with mandatory prior appointment.

The organization reminds that taking care of your health starts with small steps, and that regular skin examinations and responsible sun protection can make a big difference in the early detection of diseases.
Preventive skin examination is quick and painless, and is performed visually and/or with the help of a dermatoscope, which enables a more detailed insight into possible changes. The examination covers the entire skin of the body, including the scalp, nails and visible mucous membranes.
In order for the examination to be of the highest quality, citizens are recommended to come in clean and comfortable clothes that are easy to remove, to be ready for the examination in underwear, and not to use nail polish, make-up and creams on the day of the examination. Also, it is advised that they wear their hair loose or adjusted for scalp examination, as well as to bring previous medical documentation if they have it.
In case you notice new skin changes or existing ones that change, bleed or itch, it is important to point this out to the doctor during the examination. If suspicious changes are observed, patients will be referred for further diagnostics.
