Brazilian footballer Oscar (34), a former Chelsea star, was forced to end his professional career after doctors diagnosed him with heart problems.
During a training session with his current club Sao Paulo, Oscar collapsed while riding an exercise bike. After he was rushed to the hospital, tests showed certain abnormalities in his heart, which is why doctors advised him to stop playing football and focus on his recovery.
According to the Daily Mail and Brazil’s Globoesporte, the incident occurred during preparations to return to the field after injury. Although the first findings gave optimism, additional tests showed that continuing his career would be too risky for his health.
Oscar arrived in Sao Paulo in January this year, after spending eight seasons in the Chinese Shanghai SIPG. Before that, he played for Chelsea in England, with which he won two Premier League titles and the Europa League.

He made 48 appearances and 12 goals for the Brazilian national team, and although he was considered one of the most talented South American midfielders in his youth, going to China took him out of the focus of European football.
His sudden health situation now means the end of his career at the age of 34.
