Heavy rainfall caused flooding in the northern Turkish province of Samsun on Tuesday, with torrents carrying vehicles down streets and trapping residents in some parts of the city. Emergency services intervened on the ground to help those affected.
After heavy rains, there was an outpouring of water that flooded roads, houses and business facilities. A strong torrent carried vehicles through muddy and mud-filled water in some parts of the city.
One person waited for rescue on the roof of a stranded truck after rising water surrounded the vehicle. Another resident tried to protect himself from the floodwaters by holding on to a large piece of debris.
Authorities deployed disaster response, municipal and security teams to the area as clean-up operations began after rainfall eased later in the day.
So far, there have been no deaths or injuries, Anatolia reports.
