Heavy rain and dangerous flood hit the southeastern part of the United States, while most of the east was hit again with sharp and rainy weather on Saturday, at least one death in Kentucky.
The 73-year-old man was found dead in flood waters in Clay County, Kentucky, reports wkyt-TV. Deputy Director for Emergency Situations in County Clay, Revelle Berry, confirmed death, but did not provide additional information.
The Kentucky Fisheries and Game Department said that the investigation was initiated in relation to the death and rescue operation in Hart County, the Wky-TV reported. The station reported that the minor passed away, and the other victim disappeared in the flood on Saturday night. Floods sunk cars and buildings in Kentucky, and the landslides blocked roads in Virginia. These two states were under warnings for floods, along with Tennessee and Arkansas. The National Meteorological Service warned the residents to avoid driving.
