The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced the seasonal time forecast from 1. June to 31. Augusta this year.
Forecast models for the long-term forecast used on SEECOF – 33, as well as the entire Southeast Europe in the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the summer (period 1. June – 31. August) should be above the temperature normal of the referrative series 1991-2020. year. The probability of achieving this forecast is large and is 70 percent.
According to available data, all three months should have positive temperatures, and the greatest positive deviations in relation to normal are expected in July.
In this period, shorter periods with temperatures lower than the average time of the year are possible.
Summer 2025. years should still be fresh compared to the summer of 2024. Years.
The number of expected warm days in Bosnia during the summer is greater than 60, and in southern Herzegovina, about 85 warm days are forecast.
Seasonal precipitation forecasts are less reliable than the air temperature forecast. Therefore, the prognosis of precipitation for the upcoming summer should be taken with a larger dose of reservation.
Forecasted total rainfall during the summer of this year, it should be less in the relationship between the average sum during the summer in the period 1991. – 2020. years. Greater negative decreases are expected in the area of Herzegovina, especially in July and August. During the summer, local showers may occur, when a larger amount of precipitation can fall in a short time, but also to long dry periods.
“These predictions cannot be specified during this forecast. It is recommended that in addition to this forecast they are used to predominate forecasts or everyday bulletins,” the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of BiH was announced.
