On occasion On World Water Day 2026u Mostar on March 24, an expert meeting dedicated to water resources management was held, in which i JP Rad Tešanj.
The meeting was organized in the conference hall of Mepas Mall, in the organization Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, Agency for the Adriatic Sea Water Area and Agency for the water area of the Sava Riverwith support UNDP BiH.
This year’s theme was “Water and gender”, and the meeting brought together more than 170 participants from institutions of all levels of government, the academic community, the non-governmental sector and the economy, with the aim of exchanging experiences and improving equal access to water resources.
Within the working part, key activities in the water sector in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina were presented, including flood risk assessments, water management plans for the period 2028-2033, as well as projects aimed at reducing the risk of floods and improving information systems in this area.
The director also participated in the final panel on the experiences of the waterworks in the implementation of the MEG project JP Rad Tešanj Hasan Handžić, together with representatives of utility companies from other cities.
JP Rad Tešanj points out that participation in such gatherings is important for the exchange of knowledge and the improvement of water resources management, with the aim of providing better quality services to citizens.
At the end of the meeting, a panel discussion related to “Waterworks experiences gained within the implementation of the MEG project” was held, moderated by Mr. Ivan Bebek in front of Vodovod Mostar, which was attended by the following panelists: Belma Zukić, director of PUK “Vodostan” doo Ilijaš, Hasan Handžić, director of JP “Rad” dd Tešanj, Nikola Krstanović, director of PUK doo Tomislavgrad, Anton Vidačak, director of “Vodovod” doo Mostar and Petar Topić, manager of UPOV in the City of Široki Brijeg, JP “Vodovod i kanalizacija” doo Široki Brijeg.
