Many fans of Železničar, as well as the rest of the public, thought that a spectacular return of Diamant to Grbavica in the role of a footballer was being prepared, but nothing will come of it (for now).
This was announced by the PR manager of Edin Džeka, Jasmin Ligata, who announced it via Instagram.
“Edin Dzeko and Nijaz Brković did not discuss Edin’s transfer to FK Željezničar. That is not a realistic option at this moment. They discussed the vision of the Želje management for the future,” wrote Ligata, adding:
“The conversation was consultative and friendly. The president of Želje will confirm that to you as well.”
FK Željezničar previously emphasized that they will inform their fans in a timely and transparent manner about all possible future steps and events.
