Dressed to a lawyer killed a gang lead in Sri Lanka

The notorious leader of the gang passed away after the courtroom in Sri Lanka shot the attacker disguised as a lawyer, police confirmed.

According to police sources, the attacker used a revolver that smuggled a woman suspected in the crime in the hollow book, which is still on the run.

The leader of the Sanjeewa Kumar Samararathne gang, also known as Ganemulle Sanjeewa, was brought to the court hearing when it was shot. Police states that he was suspected of more murders.

Police reported that twelve police officers were monitored in the courtroom on Wednesday. After being shot, he was urgently transported to the hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival there.

Police identified the suspected woman as a 25-year-old Pinpuru Dewage Isharu Sewandi.

Authorities published a call with a cash prize for information on her. Police also arrested a police officer and the driver of the van believed to have helped attackers in the organization of shootings.

The incident also opened the question of security in the courtroom, which is why the authorities are currently reviewing security measures. Following the shootings, new safety protocols are introduced, including the deployment of armed guards when bringing certain people to the Court.
