The women’s national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered two days ago in the Training Center of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zenica ahead of the upcoming two European qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil, within Group 1 – League C, against Lithuania and Estonia.
“Dragons” will play a return match against Lithuania on Friday, June 5, at the Training Center in Zenica (5 p.m.), and four days later, on May 9 (7 p.m.), they will play a return match on the road against Estonia in Parno, which will host Liechtenstein on Friday.
Lithuania, on the other hand, will play against Liechtenstein in the last round. BiH leads the group with nine points, while second-placed Estonia and third-placed Lithuania each have seven, while last-placed Liechtenstein has no points. Lithuania won the first match at home with 2:0, while BiH beat Estonia 3:1 in Zenica.
Coach Selver Hodžić pointed out that his players have two very important matches ahead of them and expects them to approach every training session and every detail as seriously as possible during the preparations.
– I believe in the quality and character of this team, and our goal is to win six points in the duels with Lithuania and Estonia and confirm the first place in the table. The atmosphere in the national team is excellent and I am convinced that we will readily meet the challenges that await us – said Hodžić for the official website of NSBiH.
