The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets 127-125 at home last night after overtime, and Luka Doncic secured the victory with a basket half a second before the end of overtime.
Dončić finished the game with 30 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds for his eighth triple-double of the season.
With their fifth straight win, the Los Angeles Lakers are third in the Western Conference with a 42-25 win-loss record, while Denver is sixth with a 41-27 record.
Austin Reaves scored 32 points, including a basket in the final seconds of regulation for overtime. Marcus Smart added 21 points, and LeBron James 17 for the Lakers, who won their fifth consecutive victory.
Smart’s fifth 3-pointer of the night gave Los Angeles a 125-123 lead with 31 seconds left in overtime.
Nikola Jokic he equalized 15.1 seconds before the end, but Dončić’s three-pointer brought victory to the hosts. Jokić finished the game with 24 steals, 16 rebounds and 14 assists for his 27th triple-double of the season, and his fifth in the last six games. Orlando Magic registered its seventh win in a row, beating the home team 121-117 on the road Miami Heat whose streak of seven victories was interrupted.
Paolo Banchero had 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Orlando, which led by as much as 22 points at one point, before Miami twice came within two points in the final 18.5 seconds. Wendell Carter Jr. made two free throws with 11 seconds left to pull away, and Banchero added more two free throws 7.8 seconds before the end for the final result.
Desmond Bane added 21 points for the Magic, Carter scored 15, and Jalen Suggs scored 14 for the Magic, who are only the second NBA team to beat the same opponent five times in a season.

The Hawks continued their winning streak

VJ Edgecombe added 16 points and seven assists for Philadelphia, which continued to play without the injured Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid and the suspended Paul George.
Brooklyn lost for the 13th time in 15 games despite rallying from a 28-point deficit in the second half. Danny Wolf scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Nets.

Kawhi Leonard scored 31 points for the Clippers, tying a franchise record with his 45th straight game with at least 20 points. Leonard went to the locker room in the first half with a cut over his left eye and left the court with nine and a half minutes left in the game after injuring his ankle.
