Karl Matković’s New Orleans Pelicans put up a good fight against the Los Angeles Lakers, who in the end managed to win away 111-103.
The Croatian basketball player played a little less than ten minutes (9:51) for the Pelicans, achieving a performance of six points (2/3 field goal, 0/1 3-pointers, 2/2 free throws) and two rebounds.
The Pelicans, who are the last team in the Western Conference with a win-loss ratio of 8-30, were not helped by the first scorer of the game against the Lakers. Trey Murphy III who scored 42 points, which he career record. Zion Williamson added 15 points, and Derik Queen ten with 13 rebounds and eight assists.
Los Angeles Lakers, the third team in the West (23-11) with 30 points each led by Luka Dončić who added ten assists and two rebounds to the performance, and LeBron James (with eight assists and rebounds each).
The Pelicans put up a good fight against the Lakers defeated the hosts in the last quarter winning that stretch 32-17.
Dallas Mavericks sz won away from home with 100-98 Sacramento Kingsand the celebration was ensured by Brandon Williams, who scored a three-pointer in the last minute and scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half.
Cooper Flagg had 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists, and the Mavericks snapped a seven-game losing streak. Anthony Davis added 19 points and 16 rebounds for the second consecutive victory for Dallas, who at no point in the game led by more than two baskets.
DeMar DeRozan scored 21 points for Sacramento, but his 8-yard 3-pointer just before the final buzzer missed the basket. Dario Saric did not play for Sacramento. The loss was the sixth in a row for the Kings.
Memphis Grizzlies won at home with 106-105 San Antonio Spursand Santi Aldama blocked a potential game-winning shot by De’Aaron Fox with 5.2 seconds left. Cam Spencer scored 13 of his 21 points in the final quarter for Memphis, including a basket that gave the Grizzlies the lead with 37.3 seconds left. A minute earlier, he hit a 3-pointer to cut San Antonio’s lead to 105-104.
Jaren Jackson Jr. also scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Jock Landale contributed to his team’s victory with 19 points and nine rebounds, and Vince Williams Jr., who returned from a long injury, finished the game with 15 points, six rebounds and five assists. Victor Wembanyama came off the bench and led the Spurs with 30 points. Julian Champagnie added 23 points and eight rebounds, and Stephon Castle added 15 points and eight rebounds.
