Tomorrow at 18:00 at the “Asim Ferhatović Hase” stadium, Sarajevo football players welcome the team of Široki Brijeg, in the match of the 34th round of the WWin League of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Sarajevo coach Mario Cvitanović he stated at today’s press conference that his team, despite securing the third position in the standings, is maximally motivated entering the match which, as he stated, “more than a match“.
Cvitanović said that the state of the ranking may not arouse much public interest because Sarajevo has mathematically secured third place and exit to Europe, but he emphasized that the meeting with Široki has special importance for the club and fans.
We know what that game means for our fans and for the whole club. We want to give the maximumbe aggressive, dangerous and show the right approach from the first minute, Cvitanovic said.
He added that he was satisfied with the results of the team in the last period, recalling that in the last eight games, Sarajevo achieved six wins, a draw and a loss against first-placed Borc.
Speaking about the team’s form, Cvitanović pointed out that the coaching staff worked during the week on correcting defensive mistakes observed in the previous match against Rudar from Prijedor, but also on efficiency in attack.
He will not lead the team from the bench against Široki Brijeg because suspensionand his work will be taken over by his assistants.

He urged the fans to support the team throughout the 90 minutesstressing that the team wants to end the season with “maximum engagement”.
Cvitanović reminded that when he came to the bench, he found Sarajevo in seventh place, while the team is now stable in third position and has secured participation in European competitions.
Surely we can do better, from me as a coach to the players and the whole club. We all have to give more in order to get what everyone is looking for, which is the trophies, he said.
He also emphasized that for the upcoming matches against Široki Brijeg, Velež and city rival Željezničar there is no place for calculations or a relaxed approach.
