As part of the Social Dialogue, the meeting of the Federal Minister of AMIR Hasicevic’s Federal Minister, and representatives of the Federation of Independence of the BiH, which was awarded the prohibition of the sale of sales facilities on Tuesday.
Several proposals were considered, ie the model for the eventual correction of Article 18, with the aim of compromising solutions that most participants in social dialogue accepted as the most optimal solution, was announced from the Federal Ministry of Trade.
The need to amend, if they come to them, are balanced, to protect the rights of workers, but also respect the real requirements of certain employer categories, which would achieve the so-called Win-win situation.
It is emphasized that it is not a decision or regulation, but a legal solution that must undergo parliamentary procedure.
“We agreed that a non-working Sunday remains, but that the modalities of its application is to be preserved by the right of workers, and we have unanimously rejected in the media. Employers also insisted that the exemptions of local communities have been abolished,” said is Minister Hasicevic.
One of the discussed solutions is to eventually enable small traders / shopping shops to work on Sundays if they work the owners and members of their narrowest family, the Minister explained.
“This model protects pressures employees to work on Sundays, but enables minimal business to small local retailers so they can survive in particular in the tourist season,” Hasicevic said.
This model was assessed positively from representatives of union, but also employers.
Mersiha Besirović trade unions reminded that the introduction of non-working Sunday, as well as the entire Law on Internal Trade, the result of the joint will of the social partners, and stressed the importance of dialogue.
Unions note that, if the work of smaller traders should be allowed, the condition must be the fiscalization of traffic and the permitted card payment in such sales facilities.
It was agreed that in the following meetings will be discussed on this topic until the best solution was found, the Federal Ministry of Trade said, writes in the statement Akta.
