On Sunday, starting at 8:45 p.m. in Varaždin, the Croatian national football team will play the last friendly match before the trip to the World Cup. Young stopper Luka Vušković and goalkeeper Dominik Kotarski addressed the media today.
Vušković had an excellent season at HSV in the Bundesliga.
I am happy with the season. There were segments I could have done better. The biggest proof is that I’m going to the World Cup and I’m overjoyedsaid the young stopper.
Kotarski will travel to the World Cup for the first time in his career.
It’s a phenomenal experience to be part of national teams at a major competition. As children, we all dreamed of playing in the World Cup. My season was very instructive, there were good and bad games. I think I learned a lot and I coped well with criticismsaid Kotarski.

Although Vušković is quite young, he is not pressured by superlative articles in the media about him.
I had top teammates and coaches at the club. I had no pressure because of the good environmenthe said.
Vušković referred to the new system in defense, which is quite similar to the one he plays in the club.
I’m not the greatest tacticianbut we have room for improvement. We are on the right track. We have a lot of formations that we can play and that is a big plus for us. We had good games with the back three, and we could learn a lot from the game in Belgium. Now we move on against Sloveniasaid Vušković, reports HRT.
Kotarski had an excellent start to the season, but later he had worse performances, but there was no fear that he would not be on the list of passengers for the World Cup.
We can be satisfied with what we have a lot of quality goalkeeperswe are calm about that. I didn’t think that way, I believe in myself. I was part of the national team. I’m glad to be hereconcluded Kotarski.
