Representatives of the Association “Novi Put” held a second meeting with representatives of the municipality of Neum, at which cooperation was finalized, the beginning of which will be from September.
The aim of the meeting was to establish cooperation on the protection of women and children of all forms of violence, and thanks to exceptional support, openness and constructive approach to Neum on this important social issue, this project will be successfully implemented.
Abida Pehlić and Helena Jovanović from the New Road, and the Ambassador of this Association Đemila Talić Gabriel, thanked the mayor of Neum Dragan Jurković, but also his entire team, on hospitality.
– The special focus will be placed on preventive measures and empowering local capacities for the protection and support of the victims, strengthening families, as well as to remove stigma and silence in relation to all forms of violence – said Chief Jurković.
At this meeting, they further concretized the action plan, which will be realized in cooperation with the municipality of Neum and the local community, and whose implementation will begin in September 2025. Years.
– The meeting was used to present the objectives and envisaged activities, which will focus on the prevention of violence, the strengthening of the family and providing direct psychosocial support to potential and real victims of violence in the municipality – said Djemila Talić Gabriel.
During the meeting, the representatives of the Association “Novi Put” also presented the activities of the project currently being implemented with the support of the eCumenian initiative of women from Omis in the area of Herzegovina.
– The “new road” is thanked by the municipality of Neum, which this association recognized as a reliable and professional experience in prevention, and directly working to strengthen the local community and strengthening the institutional response to the violence.
