The candidate of the Conservative Federation for the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz admitted that the vote of the laws in parliament with the support of the Alternative MPs (AFD) was eliminated in agreement with two ruling parties.
“Of course, I know that it was a deviation from what I offered the rest of the coalition shortly after they disintegrated,” Merz said at the skins in Potsdam.
Merz, leader of the Christian-Democratic Union (CDU) and the candidate for the Chancellor and its sister group from Bavaria, the Christian-Social Union, promised Social Democrats (SPD) and Greens only to make the decisions with them not to create a majority of AFD, the party with which no one wants to cooperate with the alleged extremism.
The SPD and green are the only two parties left in the German government after the liberals came out of it and thus the so-called traffic light coalitions disintegrated in November. Despite the promise not to cooperate with AFD, Merz made just when last year, he voted the measure for stricter migration to the voices of his party and alternative.
Merz defended that decision, talking about two recent deadly attacks in Germany who made men with immigrant origins.
