Chelsea became the first semi-finalists of the English League Cup on Tuesday with a 3-1 victory away to Cardiff.
Alejandro Garnacho scored the leading goal for the London club in the 57th minute. David Turnbull equalized in the 75th minute, Pedro Neto in the 82nd minute and Garnacho with his second goal in the third minute of stoppage time to make the final 3-1.
Two more quarter-final games are scheduled for Wednesday, with Newcastle United hosting Fulham and Manchester City hosting Brentford.
Arsenal and Crystal Palace will play their quarter-final match on December 23.
