Fiorentina players scored a valuable point in the fight for survival in Serie A after drawing 2:2 with Lazio in the 18th round at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico.
All goals were scored in the second half. Lazio took the lead in the 52nd minute with a goal by Danilo Cataldi, but just four minutes later Robin Goossens equalized for the Violets.
Fiorentina came to a turning point at the very end of the match, when a penalty was awarded, and Albert Gudmundsson accurately converted it in the 89th minute for 2:1. However, the point remained divided as Lazio equalized at 2:2 in the 95th minute from the penalty spot through Pedro.
Fiorentina won this point without their captain Edin Dzeka, who was out of the squad due to a foot injury, while Eman Kospo remained on the bench without a chance to play.
