Members of the gang lit in the city of Mirebalais in the central Haiti on Monday and released about 500 prisoners in prison.
The Haitian National Police spokesman said that additional police officers were arranged in the city, located 50 km (30 miles) northeast of the capital, Port-au-Princea.
Police officials said they were re-acquainted with Mirebalais, but local reports warn that many runaway prisoners continue to move freely through the streets.
Armed gangs control almost the entire capital, but this latest attack indicates that increasingly aim and cities in other parts of the country.
Mirebalais is located at the intersection of the two main times – one leads north of Port-au-Prince to the coast, and the other to the east towards the Dominican Republic.
The locals said that severe armed attackers fired on buildings and passers-by and that they burned facilities and cars, which made the inhabitants escape saving lives.
The attackers also attacked a local police station and fell into prison, where there were about 500 people detained, and they released them.
Local radio journalist told the Associated Press that attackers belong to two gangs – 400 mawozo and a group called “Taliban” to Viv Anesam and control the northern parts of Port-au-Prince.
It is assumed that these two gangs try to take control of key roads leading from their areas to the interior of the country.

A gang 400 Mawozo is notorious on the abductions of people for the ransom. They often target buses that run to and from the capital.
Banda Taliban has its own stronghold in Caanan, the suburbs in the north Port-au-Prince.
The attack occurred only a few days after the multinational security mission (MSS) confirmed that the Kenyan police officer Benedict Kabiru was killed in the gang attack.

Kabiru is another Kenyan police officer who was killed while he was on duty on Haiti.
According to the United Nations, more than 5,600 people were killed in Haiti last year as a result of gang violence.
