Snow caused problems in the Una-Sana Canton. Cazin is without electricity and there is 30 centimeters of snow in Bihać. The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Una-Sana Canton, Denis Osmankić, sent a notice to parents, students and employees in school institutions in the canton area about the suspension of classes.
As stated, the decision was made due to difficult weather conditions and problems with electricity supply.
“Due to the situation in connection with the power outage and heavy snowfall, classes in elementary schools are suspended until conditions for work are created,” the Ministry’s notification states.
Officials said that the public will be informed in a timely manner about the continuation of classes, after the situation on the ground is stabilized and the basic conditions for work in schools are ensured, RTV USK.ba writes.
Cazin without electricity
As it was announced on social networks, Cazin was left without electricity after the breakdown of the 110 kV transmission line. Crews are on the ground and working to eliminate the fault, and stabilization of the supply is expected.
30 centimeters of snow in Bihać
As reported by Komrad Communal Enterprise, more intense snowfall started last night in the late evening hours, and in some parts of the city the height of the snow cover reached up to 30 cm.

They add that due to the weight of the snow cover, a greater number of failures on public infrastructure were recorded.
