Limiting the access of American companies to the European Union market is mentioned as another possibility.
French President Emmanuel Macron is also expected to request the activation of the EU’s Anti-Coercion Instrument, which allows the bloc to retaliate against third countries that exert economic pressure on members to change their policies.
The conclusions of the ambassadors’ meeting have not yet been published.
