An informal group of HTP students organizes protests in front of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly on Monday, 10. February at 12 o’clock.

“In October 2024. year, 27 fellow citizens and fellow citizens lost their lives in floods that came to the surroundings of Jablanica, Konjic and Fojnica. They did not kill rain or stone, but negligent authorities, services and institutions, which did not work preventively and responsibly towards the lives of all of us, according to our homes, according to nature. It is the hardest loss of life, and a large number of families lost all – their homes – a full four months passed and no one is still alive for death 27 fellow citizens.
Even worse, an investigation has not yet been launched, but only lead to pre-investigate actions that have no legal shelf life. We remind you, 10 years ago, 2014. The lives lost 21 people in the then floods. No one answered for the existence of an illegal quarry that killed 19 people in Donja Jablanica.
No one responded to the absence of the Forest Law in the HNK and Federadija BiH – for years, there were illegal logging that contributed to landslides in flooded areas. No one answered for buildings and partitions on torrent rivers. This system kills us from Donje Jablanica, Konjic, Fojnica, throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina and then wonder why young people leave, “Students allege.
Students are therefore seeking:
- Urgent initiation of investigation and urgent indictments against responsible persons
- Urgent public information about all the actions taken by the competent services, bodies and institutions regarding the death of 27 of our fellow citizens and fellow citizens
- Criminal sanctioning of all responsible for the work of the illegal quarry that caused death 19 people in Donja Jablanica
- Criminal sanctioning responsible within the competent authorities, services, institutions who failed preventively acting and prevent the death of 27 people in floods from October 2024. Years
- Audit all quarries and other environmentally hazardous projects that represent a future danger to people’s lives throughout BiH
- Aligning all spatial plans with a landslide map and a map of torrent rivers throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina not to repeat Jablanica, Konjic and Fojnica
- All data on the collected assistance and public publishing of all funds from both the budget of the Federation and the donation received for all flooded areas from October 2024. Years
- Publicly publish plans and dynamics of rehabilitation of spotted areas, Radio Sarajevo transmits.
