BiH Border Police is more efficient and more functional crossing the state border, combating BiH and preventing all forms of cross-border crime in the material-technical equipment of all organizational units and the authorities and authorities in BiH, the countries of donors and their diplomatic representatives Those representatives of the international community. Thanks to this, we possess adequate material-technical equipment for border control and border checks in line with European Union standards.
We are in the past period and from our own budget for capital expenditures, in addition to procuring police equipment, devices for review, and nightly observations, thermal imaging cameras and sensors, and other equipment, significant for the purchase of official vehicles used to supervise the state border. The ATV vehicles are also used to monitor the land borders. Procurement of this type of equipment was reflected in effective prevention of illegal migration, suppression of drug trafficking, weapons, persons and excise goods, as well as in combat other forms of cross-border crime. In order to combat with illegal migration and other forms of cross-border crime, members of the BiH Border Police, both on the main part of the state border, and on the river and marine border, oversee critical points suitable for the execution of illegal actions. In the past period, members of the BiH Border Police at the “Blue Border” had observed results, primarily in preventing the smuggling of persons, preventing the smuggling of goods, tobacco, cattle, technical equipment, etc. Also, they also gave their contribution to the rescue of the victims and helped protect and rescue the population during floods.
In particular, on the river border, in everyday use are boats with the help of which members of the BiH Border Police provide the River Border of BiH from the illegal movement of people and goods. BiH Border Police has 24 boats arranged in units: Bijeljina, Brčko, Brod, Orašje, Neum, Trebinje, Doljani, Gradiška, Dobrljin, Višegrad and Zvornik.
The recent donation of the patrol boat for shallow waters General Max 2 from the United States Government, further improved BiH border police capacity in the “Blue” border and performing everyday tasks. This official vehicle was immediately placed in the function and arranged in the Support and Terrain Office Control Unit of the South Capljina Police BiH.
