Tonight in Tuzla, the national handball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated by the Faroe Islands in the first playoff match for the 2027 World Championship.

BiH coach Damir Doborac said that he believes in his team in the rematch.
“At times we showed that we can deal with a team of this quality. We had a chance.. This is the first half, tonight at 12:00 we go on the road. We will try to recover and fix some things. I believe we have a chance. We know that they are very strong. We reduced them to a small number of goals tonight. Unfortunately, we did not manage to give more than them, but we will do everything to do it in the next game”; said Damir Doborac, BiH selector.
Despite the defeat, the B&H handball players were sent off with a song and applause from the stands of Mejdan.
The second leg is played on Saturday in the Faroe Islands.
