The head coach of the senior national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sergej Barbarez, announced the list of 25 players he is counting on for the playoff matches for qualification to the 2026 World Cup.
Barbarez’s list includes:

defense: Sead Kolašinac, Amar Dedić, Nihad Mujakić, Nikola Katic, Tarik Muharemović, Dennis Hadžikadunić, Stjepan Radeljić, Nidal Čelik
midfield: Ivan Šunjić, Benjamin Tahirović, Dženis Burnić, Amir Hadžiahmetović, Ivan Bašić, Amar Memic, Esmir Bajraktarević, Kerim Alajbegović, Armin Gigović
attack: Ermedin Demirović, Jovo Lukić, Samed Baždar, Edin Džeko, Haris Tabaković
presumptive: Dario Šarić, Emir Karić, Jusuf Gazibegović
The representation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will March 26 to visit the national team in Cardiff Wales in the semifinals of the playoffs, and if they win that game, on March 31, they will meet the national team of Italy or Northern Ireland at Bilina polje in Zenica.
In his statement to the media, Barbarez emphasized that the upcoming matches are an opportunity for the BiH national team to achieve great success.
I believe in this team and in what we are doing and I hope that on March 31 play the playoff final in front of our audience. The list includes players that we believe can meet the requirements of such important matches. Compared to previous gatherings, there are two new players, Nidal Čelik and Jovo Lukić. They have recently drawn attention to themselves with their games and form. We know that he is waiting for us in Cardiff tough game against Walesbut our goal is to play bravely and proudly and try to win a positive result that would bring us one step closer to qualifying for the World Cup. I believe that this national team has the quality for great things, Barbarez said.
