The Sava River Agency has issued a notice on the forecast of an emergency hydrological condition for the period from 25. to 28. March. Namely, due to predicted new precipitation and current valuables, water levels are expected to increase the southern Sava River in the Federation of BiH, especially on the basins of Preva, Usore, Sana, Sanica, Vrbas and Bosnia.
Given the current air temperatures, in addition to precipitation, additional swelling is expected, caused by melting snow from mountain parts of the basin, which can make a forecast hydrological state.
Given the expected amounts of precipitation on individual parts of the basket, it is possible to activate torrent streams.
In the next four days, an extraordinary hydrological situation was forecasted due to the water levels, especially the floods, especially in the areas of Sana and Sanica, the upper part of the Bosna basin, and the basins of the Gostović, Usor and Prevalje (upstream of the Modrac accumulation).
Notice on the forecast of an emergency hydrological condition relates to the area of Una-Sana, Central Bosnia, Zenica-Doboj, Tuzla and Canton Sarajevo.
The Sava River Agency suggests to the competent institutions to monitor the situation in the field and act in accordance with the authorities, and the services conducted by the measures and rescue of people and material goods are recommended.
The competent civil protection services should warn the population of access to the coasts, considering the possible increase in the depths in Rijeka, and to take them a measure to reduce the damage from the harmful effects of floods.
