Austria has denied the United States the use of its airspace for military operations against Iran because of Austria’s neutrality, the Austrian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
A spokesman for the ministry confirmed a report by the Austrian news agency APA that the US had sent “several” overflight requests to Austria, without specifying how many.
The report states that individual cases were reviewed in consultation with the Austrian Foreign Ministry.
