Last weekend, Mostar hosted the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship, which was held as part of the “Sports Festival 2026” event, under the auspices of the World Fitness Federation (WFF) and Bodybuilding Club Mostar.
Among the competitors from many countries around the world, a member of the Bodybuilding Club “Široki” stood out in particular. Frano Banožićwhich he achieved at the age of 17 an outstanding result having won two world championship titles in the junior competition.
It’s Banožić gold medal won in the category Bodybuilding Juniorsand then climbed to the highest podium in the category Physique Juniorsconfirming superior form, discipline and symmetry.

This great success represents a significant recognition for Frano Banožić, but also for Bodybuilding club “Shiroki”which after a long period records notable performances again at major international competitions and continues to promote bodybuilding, fitness and a generally healthy lifestyle among young people.
The World Cup brought together a large number of competitorstrainers and sports workers from different countries, and was also attended by the president of the World Fitness Federation Graeme Lancefield and the president of the WFF for Bosnia and Herzegovina Elvedin Škaljić.
With the double world gold in the junior category, Frano Banožić once again confirmed that dedication, discipline and continuous work pay off and that Herzegovina has young athletes capable of achieving top results on the biggest international stages.
The feeling is incredible. Coming to the World Championships and winning two golds is the dream of every young athlete. I went into every training session with the aim of giving my best, and These medals are a confirmation of that effortdiscipline and renunciation always pay off. I am proud that representing the Bodybuilding Club “Shiroki” I managed to bring two world titles in Široka Brijeg.
