Brazil national football team coach Carlo Ancelotti included Neymar in the 26-man squad for the upcoming World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
When Ancelotti mentioned Neymar’s name at the conference for the press on the occasion of the lineup presentation on Monday, there was cheering and chanting in the room.
Neymar was not among the players called up by Ancelotti for Brazil’s last two warm-up games in March, with the coach saying at the time that the 34-year-old Brazilian superstar could only go to the World Cup if he 100 percent ready.

He has improved his fitness, he will be an important player in this World Cupsaid Ancelotti arguing the list of players, and added that prefers experienced players for some positions in his composition, including Neymar.

Neymar’s last appearance for the national team was two and a half years ago, when he ruptured his cruciate ligament in a match against Uruguay. In 128 games for Brazil, he scored 79 goals.
