Ancelotti extended his contract with Brazil until 2030

Ancelotti, who took over the Selecao in May 2025 after leaving Real Madrid, has extended his contract for four years, until the 2030 World Cup.

– I arrived in Brazil a year ago. From the first minute I understood what football means to this country. We have been working for a year to bring the Brazilian national team back to the top of the world. But CBF and I want more. More wins, more time, more work. We are very happy to announce that we will continue together for another four years, Ancelotti told CBF.

Before his appointment, Brazil had changed three different coaches since Tite’s departure after the 2022 World Cup. Ancelotti is the first foreigner to lead the Selecca since the brief tenure of Argentine Filip Nuez in 1965.

Brazil can boast of a record five world championship titles, but the last one was won in 2002. At the last two World Cups, Brazil was eliminated in the quarterfinals.

At the upcoming World Cup, they will play in Group C with Morocco, Scotland and Haiti.
