A senior Iranian official called on the United States to “surrender and make concessions,” echoing earlier threats made by Tehran during the nearly three-month war.
The statement by MP Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament, came on May 10, while Iran’s response to the US peace proposal is expected.
– As of today, our patience is over, X wrote online. “The best way is to surrender and make concessions. You have to get used to the new regional order.”
– Any attack on our vessels will be met with a strong and decisive response from Iran against American ships and bases, he said, reports Radio Free Europe.
It was not clear whether these threats reflected the official policy of the authorities in Tehran.
According to media reports, Tehran is likely to respond to the new US proposal on May 10.
