Red Cross Tešanj published an emotional message on its official website dedicated to long-time volunteer Lejla Ljevaković, whose work left a strong mark on this organization.
Secretary of the Red Cross, Mujo Fejziche pointed out that he rarely singles out individuals, but that this time he felt the need to do so.
“Very rarely, almost never, I am in the habit of singling out children or volunteers who contribute to humanitarian values and work in the Red Cross. However, for the first time I feel the need to write a few words about our volunteer Lejla Ljevaković,” said Fejzić.
He especially emphasized her long-term dedication and commitment.
“Her gift and the words she addressed to me particularly impressed me, just like her work and commitment during all these 8-9 years”, he added, emphasizing that Lejla is a student of the generation, an athlete and a certified first aid instructor.
Speaking about her qualities, Fejzić said that Lejla’s values, modesty and unobtrusiveness stand out.
“There was no advice or task that she did not accept without thinking, and her face always showed a sincere desire and love for what she did. Everything she did, she did with her heart,” he said.
At the end, he gave words of gratitude and support for the future.
“I don’t want to experience this gift as a farewell, but as an incentive to continue to be with us even more. We are aware that college and new obligations are coming, but you are a person who does not give up and for whom the sky is the only limit,” pointed out Fejzić.
Red Cross Tešanj says that volunteers like Lejla Ljevaković are the strength of their work and an example of true humane values.
