This incident occurred as part of the US blockade of Iranian ports, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Platform X.
“U.S. forces released the ship after inspecting and confirming that its voyage did not include entry into an Iranian port,” CENTCOM said, adding: “To date, 39 ships have been diverted to enforce the blockade.”

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, said at a Pentagon press conference last week that the United States has seized at least three ships that are still in American custody.
These are the vessels M/V Touska, M/T Tifani and M/T Majestic X.
