The Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton Nezir Pivić and the Chairman of the Assembly of Ćazim Huskic, was hosted at the headquarters of the Zenica-Doboj Canton of the UK Ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina Juliana Reilly.
Prime Minister Pivic met British ambassador with the state of Zenica-Doboj Canton, the most important priorities of the government he leads, and the fight against corruption is to return to the institutions and remaining youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
There were talks on realized projects in the previous year and projects that are planned to be done in 2025. years. One of them is the generation project to build a new hospital within the Cantonal Hospital in Zenica, where the construction of a multi-storey building with about 850 beds, operating block and all other content in accordance with the highest world standards.
Talks with the city of Zenica on the issue of resolving the status of the Cantonal Hospital, which includes the withdrawal of the funds from the European Bank and Development Bank Credit Arrangement (EBRD).
The Prime Minister explained that they turned to developmental things and projects, to have a record budget of nearly 700 million marks, that they significantly increased allocations for sports, that the material status of employees was improving that there was no dissatisfaction and protest in this canton and that they had good cooperation with social partners. He emphasized that they want to approach the citizens for the maximum approach.
The Secretary of the Anti-Corruption Office under the authority of the Government, Dževad Fejzić met the Ambassador of Great Britain on Boredom Activities. He said that the Law on Reporting and Procedure of the Property of Public Functions Properties for which two public registry data will be the first step towards the article or indicator of transparency and will be able to see the concrete results of their work.
Ambassador Reilly thanked Prime Minister Pivić and Chairman Huskic, saying that he was glad that good results were achieved.
He emphasized that the United Kingdom provides full support, stability and integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and will continue to act in that direction.
The ambassador praised the government’s commitment to prevention and fight against congruption, saying that this was an important precondition for attracting investments and staying youth. He pointed out that he was glad that progress was made, not only in the fight against corruption, but also changing the way the system works, where there is more transparency and more efficiency.
The ambassador exchanged the opinion with the Prime Minister and the President of the Assembly on State Property, with the claim that it is a huge problem and how it hopes to be a unique law at the state level that will address this problem.
He especially emphasized the importance of the Zenica-Doboj Canton where several investments from the United Kingdom, of which the greatest investment of “Adriatic Metals” in the revival of mining in Vareš, is certainly positive to attracting new investments in BiH. He added that he hopes that there will be overcome the problems they have in this company.
