More than 50 million people in the United States of America are under warnings for storms, tornadoes, extremely large hail and flash floods, and the forecasted severe weather extends from Texas to Wisconsin, the National Weather Service announced today.
From Texas in the south to the northeast of the USA, severe thunderstorms are also forecast during the night, reports CBS.
Storms are forecast from Mississippi, to parts of Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin, where there will be the “highest chance for a severe tornado,” while parts of the central U.S. and Midwest will have the “best chance for extremely large hail.”
Severe storm warnings will remain in effect for some states tomorrow, including the cities of Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Buffalo.
Meanwhile, Michigan is facing record flooding, and the governor of that US state has declared a state of emergency in 33 counties.
The governor said that officials are “monitoring the high water levels” that are everywhere.
