Ajla Kaloševac, a 14-year-old girl from Matuzić, has a congenital defect of the nervous system, a severe form of spina bifida (split spine).
She has already had three surgeries, two on her spine and one on her knee. She recently had her fourth surgery on her left foot in Istanbul. Ajla has not felt that foot since birth, and over time it has crept inwards.
The doctors recommended continuing the treatment, surgery on the right foot, and then surgery on the knee, in order to alleviate the pain and enable easier movement. At the moment, Ajla is in frequent pain and sometimes she can barely move.
Ajla also has a neurogenic bladder. He regularly attends exercises and therapies with the aim of improving the function of the urinary system after puberty. He is currently using a catheter.
It’s hard to put into words how many challenges this little girl went through in her 14 years. Nevertheless, together we can make the continuation of her life easier and more painless.
It is necessary to collect 32,935 euros for the necessary operations.
