The “Renaissance” Association that brings together the women of Breast and Cervical Corns supports the recently published call of the Federation of BiH, which initiates the audit list of the Solidarity Fund.
This calling is called manufacturers to submit documentation for inclusion of innovative therapies.
“This is an important step in the direction of fair and modern health care for women in the Federation of Malignant Diseases, especially the breast cancer, the president of the association, and adds that these are two most common malignant diseases in the reproductive age.
Statistics are worrying, breast cancer consists of 24% of all cancers in women in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with about 1,500 new newspapers per year and more than 550 deaths.
A particularly heavy shape, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), makes up about 15% of these cases, is characterized by fast progression, limited therapeutic possibilities and low survival rates.
The situation is dramatic and when it comes to cancer cervix. Bosnia and Herzegovina is located among countries with the highest rates of disease and mortality in Europe. This disease affects most younger women, between 35. and 50. years of age, and survival after the return of diseases, which often happens within two years from the primary diagnosis, is about 12 months. About 130 women annually lose struggle with this preventable disease.
The Association appeals to the competent institutions to ensure the availability of the most modern, clinically proven and internationally recognized therapies that are already standard in the countries of the European Union and the region. The Association requires that patients in the Federation of BiH have access to the therapies that bring the actual shift in the outcomes of treatment and quality of life.
“The health care system that takes care of its most vulnerable citizens is a system based on justice, solidarity and knowledge. BiH Federation has the capacity and will to make this step in the fight for a living,” Expires Enida Glušac, reports Clix.
