Luka Gaćeša, a competitor of the Bushido Karate Club from Banjeluka, won a bronze medal at the Balkan Championship held in Istanbul, Turkey.
Acting as part of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Luka reached the bronze medal in the category of boys 12 years old, kumite +52 kg, after five extremely demanding matches.
In the first round, he defeated a representative of Turkey, then in the second round, a competitor from Montenegro, while he was stopped in the semi-finals after a great fight.
In the rematch, he showed character and quality, winning over the representative of Albania, and then in the direct fight for the bronze medal, he again defeated the competitor from Turkey.
By the way, Luka is a three-time champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this is his second medal from the Balkan Championship, after the bronze medal won in 2024.
