Široki’s basketball players celebrated a 78:88 victory in the last, sixth round of League 4 on the road at Jahorina and thus ensured their appearance in the semi-finals of the BiH Championship.
The guests opened the match better and gained an early advantage thanks to their mood Mihi Škedelje and Matej Bošnjak. The Slovenian hit two three-pointers, while the Bosnian added one important racket points from the free throw line for the guests to lead 19:13. Jahorina answered through Kovačević and Gutalj. At the end of the quarter, Jahorina completely returned to the game. With Marko Gutalj’s layup, the home team reduced it to 17:19 and with that result the first quarter ended.
Jahorina entered the second quarter better and reached the lead with a reversal thanks to the cheerful Buha and Kovačević. The home team made the key difference with a tighter defense, and over Rajka Gutalj take the lead 22:21. In the last minutes of the first half, Siroki held the game Jalyn MC Creary with several tied baskets, so we went to the break with a tied score 38:38.
The third quarter belonged entirely to the guests who have been there since the beginning established their own rhythm and made a big difference. Marijan Bagarić’s team was led by Bilinovac and MC Crearyand the last quarter was entered with Široki’s advantage 54:70.
Široki held a safe advantage in the last quarter as well until three and a half minutes before the end, and then Jahorina kicked it into gear. The home team soon reduced to 76:82, but Široki kept his advantage until the end and finally celebrated.
With this victory, Široki’s basketball players secured their appearance in the semi-final of the BiH Championship where they are still waiting for KK Bosna, KK Igokea and OKK Sloboda, which was better than Borca tonight.
Široki’s basketball players will play the first semi-final game on Saturday at Pecara.
