Dia is one of the main military intelligence services of the United States, which provides the analysis of the Pentagon and the White House. The agency was responsible for the preliminary assessment of American air attacks aimed at Iranian nuclear plants, a campaign marked great escalation of tension between Washington and Tehran in June.
According to the CBS, the DIA assessment concluded that attacks have undergone the Iranian nuclear program only in a few months and noted that some of the stocks of enriched uranium were moved before the attack.
This assessment is contrary to the television address of the President Donald Trump in which he declared Iranian nuclear capacity completely destroyed.
The obvious contradiction caused anger administration, the CBS reported, and may have played a major role in Kruse’s failure.
According to the report, the leaders of the Intelligence Committee in the Congress were informed of the cancellation, but they were not listed.
