A teenager killed two employees and wounded two others, including an 11-year-old girl, in Brazil on Tuesday in the latest shooting to rock the country’s educational institutions.
In the city of Rio Branco in the state of Accra, a 13-year-old boy was arrested after the attack at the Sao Jose Institute school.
The injured girl was shot in the leg.
The teenager, who is a student at the school, entered the building and fired several shots in the hallway leading to the principal’s office, said Lt. Col. Felipe Russo of the Accra state military police. The attacker later surrendered to the police.

His stepfather, the owner of the 380 mm pistol used in the attack, was also arrested.
The police also identified other students who, as it is suspected, could have participated or helped the attacker.
Witnesses describe scenes of panic and chaos, as students tried to escape over a six-meter-high wall or were trapped on the roof of the school.
– Shots and screams were heard – said one witness.
Pictures from local media show the evacuation of the injured and gathered people crying and hugging in front of the school.
The government expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and announced that schools in that country were closed for three days, and that psychological teams were mobilized to support students and teachers.
Brazil has seen an increase in violent attacks in schools in recent years, including earlier incidents in the states of Ceará, São Paulo and Santa Catarina.
