He stated that the Ukrainian plan for solving the crisis, which was distributed yesterday, is radically different from what is being negotiated with the American side.
“Yesterday in Ukrainian public groups we saw links to a 20-point plan. We know that this plan is radically different, if it can be called a plan at all, from the 27 points we worked on with the American side in recent weeks,” Ryabkov said.
According to him, Russia is fully ready to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, but without proper resolution of the basic problems that are at the root of this crisis, it will be impossible to reach final agreements.
“We have to focus on the essence of the problem. We are fully prepared and expect the same approach from the other side,” Ryabkov told Russia One television.
Commenting on the statement of US Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker that the US believes that if the conflict in Ukraine can be ended, it will happen in the next 90 days, Ryabkov assessed that setting artificial deadlines will not help in reaching an agreement on Ukraine.
