On that occasion, Bennett pointed out that he sees the new political project as a strong patriotic move.
“Tonight we unite and form the party Together under my leadership, a party that will lead to a great victory and usher in a new era for our beloved country. Although we have different opinions on various issues, I am proud that we can fight together for the welfare of the people of Israel, just as our children, our soldiers, fight side by side,” said Bennett.
He emphasized that this alliance sends a clear message to the public.
“Our unity is a message to the entire people of Israel: The era of division is over. The era of correction has arrived. On the first day of the new government under my leadership, a state commission will be established to investigate the October 7 massacre in order to bring the truth to the families and answers to all the peoples of Israel,” he said.
He added that the new bloc will gather different political options around the common goal and interests of the state.
In his address, Lapid said that Israel needs a political turn.
“The State of Israel must change direction. This is a test of our leadership and we will fulfill it. What you see here today is the first step. We are here because this country needs unity as much as air to breathe. Today we unite to win the elections and establish a Zionist government, strong and stable. A partnership between center and right, between religious and secular, between north and south without avoiding recruitment and without extremism,” concluded Lapid.
The formation of this alliance opened a new political dynamic in Israel ahead of the next election cycles.
