At a time when negative examples are often talked about, a story comes from Doboj Jug that restores faith in people.
Everything happened almost cinematically. While staying in the town, Adil Halilović, a member of the “Strength of the People” party, and his friend Sabahudin Sinanović, the owner of a local bakery, noticed that a group of bikers from Hungary was preparing to leave Doboj Jug. At that moment, a leather bag fell from one of the motorcycles onto the road – without its owner even noticing.
Without thinking, Halilović and Sinanović took the purse for safekeeping and immediately informed the police. Soon, police officers from PS Doboj Jug arrive at the scene, who professionally take over the case.
Meanwhile, the Hungarian motorcyclists had already reached the border, where they realized that one of them was missing a purse. They turned around and went back, where they were greeted by a sight that is not easily forgotten – a lost purse, intact, with the people who saved it and the police who duly recorded everything.
After checking, it was confirmed that the purse contained personal documents, as well as a certain amount of money in euros and Hungarian forints. Everything was returned to the owner, and the gratitude expressed by the bikers spoke volumes.
At the end, a joint photo was recorded – a memory of a small but important event that shows that honesty and humanity still have their place.
