On the first day of applications for the Hajj in 2027, July 13, the Office for Hajj and Umrah of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina received 1,928 new applications.
“In the first hour after the registrations opened at 8:00 a.m., we had 1,401 applications recorded, while by 3:00 p.m. that number rose to 1,928. Considering that we have received applications since last year, we already have 2,868 registered travelers for the Hajj,” said the head of the Hajj and Umrah Office of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in BiH Dževad Hadžić.
As he emphasized, applications remain open for another ten days, that is, until July 24 at 4:00 p.m.
“After the closing of applications, the second phase begins, which is the allocation of quotas to muftis and majlis, after which the proposal goes to Rijaset, after whose approval the groups are formed,” added Hadžić.
The main organizational items regarding the travel and accommodation of the Hajj remain the same.
“To go to Saudi Arabia, pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina will fly on the route Sarajevo-Djeda, while on the way back they will fly from Medina to the capital. We are staying with the same airline as well as accommodation in Mecca and Medina. So far, these options have worked well for us and we are staying with them,” Hadžić said in a statement to the MINA Agency.
Hadžić also used the opportunity to remind all pilgrims that the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the exclusive organizer of Hajj trips from our country, in accordance with the Constitution of the Islamic Community and the Law on Freedom of Religion and the Legal Status of Churches and Religious Communities, as well as valid regulations of the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“In previous years, we had various ads for bedeluk. Hereby, we appeal to pilgrims not to fall for those ads. The only thing that is relevant is bedeluk through the organization of the Office for Hajj and Umrah, and that is certain and there will be no mistake. Behind everything else that is found on internet ads, the Islamic community as an institution does not stand and that is the entrance to uncertainty,” added Hadžić.
Let us remind you that this year, organized by the Hajj and Umrah Office of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2,226 pilgrims performed the fifth Islamic duty.
At their service at all times was a team of 47 guides, six Sharia consultants and a medical team of 14 members: seven doctors and seven medical technicians.
As a rule, pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina perform the temetta’ hajj. The expected departure is in the period from May 7 to 12, while the return of the pilgrims is expected in the period between May 26 and 31, 2027, it was reported earlier from the Office for Hajj and Umrah. N1 BiH.
