Croatian representative Ivica Zubac achieved this season’s personal record with 33 points and 18 rebounds, but it was not enough for the victory of the LA Clippers, who were defeated 120-105 on the road in Cleveland.
Zubac was arguably the Clippers’ most upbeat player who suffered their fourth defeat in the last five games played away from clubs from the Eastern Conference. He spent 32:55 minutes in the game, shot 15/22 from the field and 3/3 from the free throw line, and also handed out four assists.
Returning to the Clippers lineup Kawhi Leonard scored 20 points, a James Harden added 19.
He led the Cavaliers to their 12th win of the season Donovan Mitchell with 37 points, eight rebounds and six assists, and Evan Mobley added 18 points and 10 rebounds.
With a performance of 5-12, the Clippers are in 12th place in the Western Conference standings, which is led by the current champions Oklahoma City Thunder with 17-1, and Cleveland is 12-6 in third place in the Eastern Conference, which is topped by the Detroit Pistons with 14-2.
