The new head of the professional staff of FK Sarajevo, Zoran Zekić, said today that they have high expectations in the club, that they know what awaits them and what the club demands.
At the press conference on the occasion of the presentation of the new coach, Zekić pointed out that he wants good cooperation, as it was the last time.
– I hope that I will be able to transfer part of the duties to the players. There will be all kinds of moments, you should enjoy it, the championship is long. We have three and a half weeks until the first game – Zekić said.
He added that some players will leave, and that there are players he will have to talk to and see if they are ready to make sacrifices.
Zekić stated that the first preparatory match will be played on June 27 in Koševo against Velež, followed by a match against Sutjeska in Nikšić and a general rehearsal against Zrinjsko in Mostar.
Zoran Mamić, adviser to the president of FK Sarajevo, said that he believes that with Zekić they can achieve the goals that have been set.
– We all put a serious burden and expectations on him, the club, the media and the fans. It won’t be easy for him, but we are here to help him. We believe that we can actively fight for every trophy and the best possible performance in Europe – emphasized Mamić.
Asked about the status of Adem Ljajić, he said that he has a one-year contract with the club and that they expect him to come to Sarajevo on Sunday and join the team the next day.
– So far, the situation is such that Adem stays with us. There are inquiries, not directly to the club, from Pazar, Partizan, maybe some other clubs. Whether something will happen, I don’t have the right information at this moment – Mamić concluded.
