At the 109th session of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Government, which was presided over by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, the Government of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry made a number of decisions, with a total value of about 1,000,000 KM.
According to the words of Minister Jasmin Čajić, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry of the Zenica-Doboj Canton has implemented the Program for spending funds for incentives in agriculture for the year 2025.
The budget for incentives in agriculture for this year was increased by the first rebalancing and amounts to a record 6,700,000 KM, and all farmers should receive their funds by the end of the year.
– KM 390,000 was approved for the incentive measure “projects in agriculture”, which was introduced last year and has already shown positive effects. This year, funds have been approved for 23 agricultural producers, with whom we plan to sign contracts on Monday, so that the funds will be operational as soon as possible for further expansion and development of production. Also, additional funds were approved in the amount of almost 90,000 KM for greenhouse production, which paid the maximum amount of 6 KM per square meter – said Čajić.
Funds for the support of milk purchasers and processors in the amount of about 303,000 KM were allocated at the session.
– In this way, we realized the program of expenditure of funds for agricultural production in the current year. We are already preparing the Program for next year, which will have more resources and, we hope, will be even more effective. Today’s decisions will be forwarded to the Ministry of Finance of the ZDK in the coming days, and we expect that by the end of the year, all funds will be in the accounts of agricultural producers – said Minister Čajić.
At today’s session of the Government, support funds were also allocated for registered sheep and goat production, for help in special circumstances, co-financing of the costs of implementation of standards for subjects in the food business (self-control program, HACCP system), as well as funds for the Institute for Health and Food Safety Zenica, for projects in the field of veterinary medicine and herbs.
