Whether medications will be chased by 17 percent, the question posed by a number of citizens after the Human Peoplementary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina supported the principles of the Law on the Law on Admission Law on Added Value Law.
With this proposal, which was submitted by the Želimir Nešković delegate (SDS), the introduction of zero VAT rates on basic living products are envisaged, including medications. In addition to drugs, the proposed changes include all types of bread and milk, children’s food, feed, seeds, planting material and educational equipment.
The aim of the amendment is to mitigate economic pressure to the most vulnerable layers of the population. According to estimates, one average family could save this measure a year between 1,500 and 2,000 KM.
Although most delegates supported a proposal in the first reading, to the final adoption of the law the road is still debt. It is necessary for the competent commissions to consider the proposal and to develop a detailed fiscal analysis, as well as delegates in the second reading possibly invest the amendments.
However, even if the House of Peoples BiH adopts the law in the second reading, its application is not possible without the approval of the House of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. However, the fact that this proposal received the green light in the first phase of the legislative procedure opens the space for concrete changes.
Citizens are now rightly expected and requested that institutions do the following steps to make medications really cheap in 17 percent, how much is VAT in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
