Haskić, born on June 27, 1989 in Banovići, left a strong mark in Velež, not only as a goalscorer, but also as a leader on the field and in the locker room.
In his career, before coming to Mostar, he wore the jerseys of Sarajevo and clubs in Poland, Slovakia, Serbia and Japan.
His season in Radnički from Niš is especially memorable, where he scored 28 goals with 13 assists and took home the title of the best scorer of the Serbian championship.
He returned to Velež at the end of December 2021, after his involvement in the Japanese Omiya Ardia, and he made a total of 127 appearances in the Red Jersey. During that period, he scored 40 goals and recorded 11 assists, with more than 8,300 minutes spent on the field.
With this result, he became the best scorer of Velež since the establishment of the joint championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with which, as the club states, “he wrote his name forever in the club’s history.”
Although he parted ways with the club as a player, the cooperation with Velež continues. The club has confirmed that Haskić will be employed at the “Muhamed Mujić” Youth School in the coming period, where he will work with younger selections and pass on his experience to future generations.
“Haskić left a deep mark on the Red Jersey, both with goals and with his professional attitude and dedication to the club,” said FC Velež, with thanks for everything he gave to Rođen.
In the end, the club said an emotional goodbye to its captain with the message: “Thank you, Haska!”, with the wish for much success in his new role within the Red Family.
